What is a Dental Hygienist?
A Dental Hygienist is a health professional that promotes the health and wellness and the treatment and prevention of oral disease through the provision of educational, preventative, and therapeutic services.
Use of Reserved Titles
In Newfoundland and Labrador, only registrants with the NLCHP and NLCDH can use the following title or abbreviation. To verify if a healthcare professional is a registered DH, please reference the List of Registered Health Professionals.
