Important:
Between December 8th 2025 and March 31st, 2026, we will be transitioning to a new registrant management system. Not all modules are fully available at this time. New applicants can find an Application for Initial Registration (pdf form) by clicking on their respective profession.
This section applies to you if you have ever been registered/licensed to practice in another Canadian jurisdiction (province/territory). To obtain a license to practice in NL you must apply for initial registration before commencing employment, which includes orientation.
Individuals who practice without a valid practicing license will be subject to a penalty of $100/per day and where the period of practice exceeds three days from and including the 1st day will be subject to discipline in accordance with Part V of the Health Professions Act (2010).
